Academic activities at the University of Karachi were suspended for the seventh day in a row on Monday as the teaching and non-teaching staff continued their protest.

When the Karachi University Teachers Society (KUTS) declared the selection board null and void during a meeting for the appointment of professors in three departments of the varsity a few days ago, it caused a rift between Sindh universities and boards department secretary Mureed Rahimo and the Karachi University Teachers Society (KUTS).
