In a statement, Federal Minister for Energy Hamad Azhar expressed his deep grief for today’s nationwide petrol pump strike, saying that they will accept genuine demands but not illegitimate demands, and that it is not appropriate to disrupt the people. He stated that a summary of the increase in margin had already been submitted to ECC at the request of the Petroleum Dealers Association, and that the decision will be made at the next meeting, but that reasonable requests would be granted.

According to Hamad Azhar, while petrol pump owners are aware of the problems, they should reconsider their decision in light of the people’s concerns.
