On Nov 16, Former Yorkshire player Azeem Rafiq fought back tears as he recorded his statement to British lawmakers. He said that the racism within English cricket was ‘institutional’ and he received the “humiliating treatment” at the club. ‘You’ll sit over there near the toilets’, ‘elephant-washers’ and ‘Paki’ were some of those racial slurs which English players used to hurl at him so often.
