Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has dismissed US President Donald Trump’s newly announced “Economic D-Day” campaign against Tehran as a failed policy that will deepen hostility toward Washington. Araghchi said the campaign would bring the US further defeat while diverting attention from its own economic challenges. Trump has vowed to cut financial and commercial links supporting Iran and warned countries aiding Tehran of severe consequences. He also urged US allies to join Washington in isolating Iran through unprecedented economic pressure.
