Qatar, Kuwait foreign ministers discuss regional tensions

The foreign ministers of Qatar and Kuwait have underscored their joint commitment to regional de-escalation and the ned to fully implement the US-Iran memorandum of understanding, including provisions to secure freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz. In a phone conversation on Monday, Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani and Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah discussed bilateral cooperation and avenues to strengthen ties, according to a statement by Qatar’s Foreign Ministry.
