Amid the failure to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, US President Donald Trump is looking for ways to end the conflict without admitting defeat, Mostafa Khoshcheshm, a professor at the University of Applied Sciences in Tehran, told Al Jazeera. “Trump never says that it’s been defeated no matter what happens on the ground in reality,” Khoshcheshm said. “He’s been trying to find an exit door to claim victory but he’s failed again and again,” he added.
