Austrian Foreign Minister Beate Meinl-Reisinger called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, the unhindered delivery of large-scale humanitarian aid, and the unconditional release of all hostages. “This horrific conflict must end,” Ms Meinl-Reisinger said in a joint-statement along with Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, New Zealand, Norway, the UK and the High Representative of the EU. The group of countries affirmed their strong rejection of the decision of the Israeli Security Cabinet on August 8 to launch another large-scale military operation in Gaza.
