Iran’s armed forces chief of staff Abdolrahim Mousavi has said that Tehran has “serious” doubts that Israel will adhere to a ceasefire that ended 12 days of war between the two countries, vowing “strong” response if Iran is attacked, Tasnim news agency reported. “We did not initiate the war, but we responded to the aggressor with all our might, and since we have serious doubts about the enemy’s adherence to its commitments, including the ceasefire, we are ready to give him a strong response if it repeats the aggression,” he said in a phone call with Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Defence Prince Khalid bin Salman.
