France supports Syrian civil society in its fight against crimes committed by the Assad regime, the Foreign Affairs Ministry said in a statement issued after minister Jean-Noel Barrot met representative of Syrian civil society, including the president of the Syrian Negotiation Commission, Bader Jamous. “The Minister and his Syrian interlocutors stressed the need to continue, after the fall of the regime, the fight against impunity, within the framework of law and justice,” said the statement.
