Lebanon’s Prime Minister Najib Mikati said on Tuesday that “diplomatic contacts are ongoing have intensified yesterday to stop Israeli violations to the ceasefire and withdrawal of Israeli forces from Lebanese border towns.” In statements carried by the state National News Agency, Mr Mikati said: “we stressed during these contacts the priority of stabilizing the situation for the return of the displaced to their towns and regions and expanding the army’s deployment in the south.”
