US President Joe Biden held talks with Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over Gaza hostage negotiations, the White House said in a statement. Mr Biden reaffirmed his commitment to the release of all hostages after 132 days in Hamas captivity. Mr Biden emphasized that a military operation in Rafah should not proceed without “a credible and executable plan” for ensuring the safety of civilians in southern Gaza city. Mr Biden also said it was vital that aid reaches Palestinian civilians in the besieged enclave.
