Israeli President Isaac Herzog said that Israel was following the situation in Lebanon and the activities of militant group Hezbollah. “Hezbollah is playing with fire… Iran, the empire of evil, is playing with fire,” Herzog said in a televised meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron. “We are not looking for a confrontation on our northern border or with anyone else. We are focused on bringing back our citizens,” he added, but said Lebanon would “pay the price” for any more fighting.
