Thousands of people gathered in the southern Philippines to protest against Israel’s bombardment of the Gaza Strip. Protesters waved Palestinian flags, painted their faces with Palestinian colors, and shed tears as they prayed. Speakers called for a halt to the Israeli military operations in the besieged enclave and urged the US and the UN to stay neutral in the conflict.
