The Zika virus has been recorded in other Indian states, but this is the first time it is spreading so quickly in Uttar Pradesh, according to Indian media sources. On October 23, the first case of Zika virus was recorded in this state. Since then, health officials have been instructed to collect samples from residents for observation and testing.

The disease’s symptoms, according to the paper, are not life-threatening. It appears to be a common cold. The Zika virus is spread across the body via the bite of an Aedes aegypti mosquito.
