Yemen’s Houthi military spokesman Yahya Sarea said that the group had launched a missile attack on an MSC United commercial ship in the Red Sea after it ignored three warnings. Mediterranean Shipping confirmed that the MSC vessel was en route from King Abdullah Port, Saudi Arabia, to Karachi, Pakistan, when it was attacked. Mr. Sarea also said the group had carried out drone attacks on the southern Israeli city of Eilat “and other areas in occupied Palestine”.
