World Central Kitchen said an Israeli security check of its employees in Gaza has prompted the charity to make changes so that it can continue feeding people in the Palestinian territory. The charity said it “felt this step was necessary to protect our team and operations” after a November 30 Israeli air strike on a car in Gaza killed five people, including a WCK worker. Israeli authorities accused the worker of taking part in the Hamas-led October 7, 2023, attack on Israel.
