New intelligence obtained by the US suggests that Israel is preparing to strike Iranian nuclear sites, CNN reported on Tuesday, citing several American officials familiar with the matter. It was not clear whether Israeli leaders have made a final decision, CNN said, citing the officials, who added that any such action would be a major break with US President Donald Trump. “The chance of an Israeli strike on an Iranian nuclear facility has gone up significantly in recent months,” a person familiar with US intelligence on the issue told the network.
