The US State Department condemned a high-profile conference that France and Saudi Arabia are hosting at the UN this week aimed at pushing a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. State Department spokeswoman Tammy Bruce called the conference “unproductive” and “ill-timed.” It comes as international outrage over the humanitarian situation in Gaza mounts and hopes for a potential ceasefire and hostage exchange deal are all but gone after Israel and the US rejected Hamas’s latest response.
