State Department spokeswoman Tammy Bruce called the conference “unproductive” and “ill-timed.” It comes as international outrage over the humanitarian situation in Gaza mounts and hopes for a potential ceasefire and hostage exchange deal are all but gone after Israel and the US rejected Hamas’s latest response.
