The UN Security Council will be “instrumental” in forming an international stabilisation force for Gaza, Turkey’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said. “Right now for Gaza, we are talking about how to form a stability force, and the UN Security Council is also going to be instrumental in this,” Mr Fidan said at a press conference in Ankara with his German counterpart Johann David Wadephul. “Which countries should contribute to this, which rules of engagement should apply? Obviously, we need to discuss this in great detail,” he added.
