An emergency meeting of the UN Security Council on the Israel-Gaza war requested by the UAE would be held today. The Emirates was seeking a binding resolution demanding that Israel accepts a humanitarian pause to the fighting in Gaza. Diplomatic sources reported that the UAE would request that Brazil’s draft resolution would be binding under Chapter VI of the UN Charter.
