In a post on social media, Tom Fletcher, the head of the UN humanitarian agency (OCHA), said that the plan would offer “new possibilities for humanitarians to deliver lifesaving aid at the scale desperately needed by civilians”. “And hostages finally coming home,” Fletcher said. “We are ready and eager to work – in a practical and principled way – to seize this moment for peace,” he added.
