The UK is still prepared to put boots on the ground in Ukraine in the event of a ceasefire, PM Starmer’s spokesperson has said. “That commitment remains,” the spokesperson said of the pledge to be part of a potential multinational force in Ukraine after the war. In their call earlier today, Starmer and President Zelenskyy spoke of “the importance of the continued work by coalition partners in preparation for the deployment of the multinational force following the cessation of hostilities”, the spokesperson added.
