Shortly after the US’s strike on northwest Nigeria, US President Donald Trump went on the Truth Social social media platform to state that it was targeting “ISIS Terrorist Scum” that had been targeting and “viciously killing, primarily, innocent Christians”. “I have previously warned these Terrorists that if they did not stop the slaughtering of Christians, there would be hell to pay, and tonight, there was,” Trump said without backing up his claims of the specific targeting of Christians.
