US President Donald Trump has described the deaths of two US service members in Iranian attacks as “a very sad thing,” in his first reaction to the announcement. “We hate to see it happen. It’s in service to our country,” Trump told NewsNation. The president also reiterated that the US would “never” allow Iran to obtain a nuclear weapon.
