Lebanese President Joseph Aoun and First Lady Nehmat Aoun have arrived in Washington for an official visit at the invitation of US President Donald Trump. It is the first visit to Washington by a Lebanese head of state since Michel Sleiman met then-President Barack Obama in 2009. The presidential plane landed at Joint Base Andrews at 3pm local time (19:00 GMT) on Saturday, Lebanon’s state-run National News Agency (NNA) reported.
