On the occasion of International Human Rights Day on Friday, a celebration on transgender rights was held for the first time.

The event was hosted by the South Punjab Education Department and featured representatives from the transgender community, as well as teachers and students. At the Government Comprehensive High School, the event took place.

Punjab Parliamentary Secretary for Information Nadeem Qureshi remarked that the Punjab government’s initiative to educate the transgender population was a first of its kind. The first school was established in Multan, and it is currently being expanded to other regions in Punjab, including Lahore, to provide education to transgender people
