Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair issued a statement dismissing reports in Israeli media that he met Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defence Minister Benny Gantz to discuss finding countries to receive refugees from Gaza. “You may be aware of a story that Channel 12 in Israel ran and which we’ve sought to correct as they did not check factual accuracy with us before broadcasting their story,” the statement said. “Reports that Mr Blair has anything to do with the voluntary evacuation of Gazans is simply not true, there has been no such discussion nor would he consider it,” the statement added.
