Israeli media reported that three civilians had been wounded in the northern Israeli town of Metula. Several people were injured in mortar fire on the town, said local council chief David Azulay. The town, the closest to the Lebanese border, has been declared a “closed military zone” amid border clashes. The Israeli army later said it was striking southern Lebanon after Hezbollah militants claimed they had fired an anti-tank missile at Israel.
