The destruction in Gaza by Israeli attacks defies belief, which “is in no way self-defence”, Secretary General of the Norwegian Refugee Council Jan Egeland said on Wednesday. “Returning to Gaza now, I see destruction that defies belief, from Rafah, via Khan Yunis, to Gaza City,” Mr Egeland said on X. “This is destruction of an entire society of more than 2 million people, in a densely populated, small, confined territory,” he said.
