The Sindh government opposed the water distribution formula of the Indus River System Authority (IRSA). The Sindh Irrigation Department in a letter requested IRSA to stop providing river water to Chashma-Jhelum and Taunsa-Panjnad link canals. Sindh Irrigation Department directed IRSA to give authentic data of water discharge from all canals.
