Three youths killed while shooting TikTok video

In yet another unfortunate incident, three youngsters lost their lives while filming a video for popular video-sharing platform TikTok near Sheikhupura district of Punjab. The deceased, residents of Khanqah Dogran city in Safdarabad Tehsil, were riding a motorcycle while filming a video for TikTok. Due to distraction, the motorcycle collided head-on with a car coming from the opposite direction, resulting in the killing of the three youngsters. TikTok confident of winning Montana ban lawsuit

TikTok was confident of winning the lawsuit challenging the ban imposed on the app by the US state of Montana, its chief executive said. “The move by Montana is simply unconstitutional. TikTok fined $16m in UK

UK privacy regulators laid bare that TikTok was fined £12.7 million ($16 million) because it “did not do enough” to keep underage children from using the platform and failed to ensure their data was protected. The Information Commissioner’s Office said that about 1.4 million children under the age of 13 used the social media platform in 2020, which was against TikTok's terms of service. NATO officially banned staffers from downloading the social media app TikTok onto their NATO-provided devices, citing security concerns.
