Volkswagen Factory Plan Sparks Fresh Opposition

Volkswagen’s revived proposal to produce military equipment at its Osnabruck factory with Israel’s Rafael has triggered renewed opposition in Germany. Critics, including Lower Saxony’s Left Party, oppose replacing civilian production with arms manufacturing and using public funds for the project. The plan resurfaced after Volkswagen faced objections from shareholders, peace groups and labour movements. Israeli army says it destroyed 4 weapons depots in Gaza

A military update says Kalashnikov-style assault weapons, RPGs, grenades and other combat equipment were stored in the depots in central Gaza that belonged to Hamas. The arms were intended for use against Israeli troops occupying areas of Gaza and Israeli citizens, the army said. The Government Media Office in Gaza said on Wednesday that 3,689 violations by the Israeli military have been recorded since the “ceasefire” came into force in October 2025. Read More…

Trump says Xi offered help to open Hormuz, vowed not to arm Iran

Seven weeks into the ceasefire, healthcare workers in Gaza say they are still facing critical shortages of medication and equipment. The UN has described the health situation in Gaza as “catastrophic”. Less than half of the Strip’s hospitals, and just more than a third of clinics, are barely functioning. US approves $825 mn missile sale to Ukraine

The United States on Thursday announced the approval of an $825 million sale of 3,350 Extended Range Attack Munition (ERAM) air-launched missiles and related equipment to Ukraine. Kyiv will make the purchase with funding from Denmark, the Netherlands and Norway and a loan guarantee from the United States, the US Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) said in a statement. “This proposed sale will improve Ukraine’s capability to meet current and future threats by further equipping it to conduct self-defense and regional security missions,” DSCA said. Pakistan armed forces to showcase defence equipment tomorrow

In celebration of Independence Day and the victory in Marka-e-Haq, Pakistan Armed Forces will showcase defence equipment at Shakarparian Parade Ground which will be opened for the public on Thursday. The equipment will be opened for public at 10am tomorrow. The exhibition will feature various weapons, aircraft, tanks and other military equipment used during Marka-e Haq.
