NEW YORK: Merriam-Webster has added 1,400 words and definitions to its online dictionary, reflecting the rapid evolution of modern language. The latest additions include internet and Gen-Z terms such as “glow up,” “looksmaxxing,” “vibe coding,” “Rickroll” and “uncanny valley.” Food, lifestyle and pop-culture terms including “bao,” “cuffing season,” “Sunday scaries” and “trash pandas” also made the list. Lebanon’s Ali al-Tahir heights come under renewed Israeli attack

Iran says 'kept its word' on US ceasefire 

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said Saturday that Tehran had "kept its word" on a ceasefire with the United States, after Donald Trump insisted the truce was over but that he had agreed to further negotiations with the Islamic republic. One missing sailor found dead from last night’s US attack: Iranian governor

Mohammad Radmehr, governor of Minab County in southern Iran, says he has received word that rescuers have found the body of one of five sailors reported missing after a US attack on an Iranian vessel overnight in and around the Strait of Hormuz. Iran’s Mehr news agency quoted Radmehr as saying that search teams are continuing efforts to find the four remaining missing sailors.
