China welcomes Iran and the US launching follow-up talks on a memorandum of understanding and supports all efforts conducive to peace in the Middle East, foreign minister Wang Yi said in a meeting on Monday with Iran's senior security official in India. China's foreign minister urges early peace talks in call with Iranian counterpart

China's foreign minister Wang Yi on Tuesday called on parties to seize all opportunities to start peace talks as soon as possible in a phone call with his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi, according to a statement from Wang's ministry. China calls for ‘independent, fully sovereign state of Palestine’
