Apple Updates Lake Name on Maps for US Users

Apple has updated the name of Lake Ontario on the web version of Apple Maps for US users, following a US executive order. The lake now appears as “Lake America” in the United States, while Canadian users will continue to see Lake Ontario. Users elsewhere will see both names. Israeli army says it destroyed 4 weapons depots in Gaza

A military update says Kalashnikov-style assault weapons, RPGs, grenades and other combat equipment were stored in the depots in central Gaza that belonged to Hamas. The arms were intended for use against Israeli troops occupying areas of Gaza and Israeli citizens, the army said. Israeli military says it has killed 3 Hezbollah fighters in southern Lebanon

The Israeli military has published an update on its attack on southern Lebanon from Tuesday, saying its forces killed three Hezbollah fighters and bombed the group’s infrastructure across the region. It confirmed strikes on several areas beyond the area it intends to control in southern Lebanon, north of the “Yellow Line”. Lebanese president: A ceasefire is necessary ‘first step’ for negotiations with Israel

Gaza’s Civil Defence recovers body near Gaza City

Crews working for the Palestinian Civil Defence have recovered a body north of Gaza City. In a brief update, the Civil Defence said it coordinated with the UN humanitarian agency to transfer the body from al-Waha to al-Shifa Hospital. Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza has killed more than 70,000 people since October 2023, including at least 377 since the ceasefire took effect in October this year. Read More…

Gaza death toll rises to 61,827

The death toll from the war in Gaza has risen to 61,827, with 155,275 injured, Palestinian news agency Wafa reported, quoting medical sources. Friday’s updated toll included 51 Palestinians killed and 369 injured in Israeli attacks across the coastal strip over the previous 24 hours.
