Services of social media platform X restored in Pakistan

Social media platform X, formerly Twitter, has been restored for users across country, Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) told the Sindh High Court (SHC) on Thursday. PTA’s lawyer Ahsan Imam informed the court that the authority has withdrawn its notification regarding the suspension of X services (formerly Twitter) in Pakistan. Elon Musk said on Friday social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, will soon launch two new tiers of premium subscriptions. “One is lower cost with all features, but no reduction in ads, and the other is more expensive, but has no ads,” Musk said on a post on X. India denies threatening Twitter with shutdown

India denied claims that it had threatened to shut down Twitter if it did not block accounts critical of PM Narendra Modi’s govt. Former chief executive Jack Dorsey told YouTube chat show ‘Breaking Points’ that authorities had threatened to “shut down Twitter in India” as well as raid the homes of its employees unless his company yielded to their demands.
