Iran says oil exports continue despite cancellation of US waivers

Iran's oil exports are continuing as usual despite the cancellation last week of a 60-day waiver of US oil sanctions, oil minister Mohsen Paknejad said on his official Telegram account on Tuesday. Paknejad said the oil ministry had maintained mechanisms for years to neutralise the impact of US sanctions and that Iran's oil exports would face no problems despite the removal of the waivers. Israel says it kills senior Hezbollah member in southern Lebanon

Israel’s army says its forces have bombed southern Lebanon’s Yanouh area, killing a person it identifies as Ahmad Ali Salami. The military statement published on Telegram claimed he was Hezbollah’s head of artillery in Yanouh. The army said it was “aware of the claim that uninvolved civilians were killed”, claiming, “Prior to the strike, steps were taken to mitigate harm to civilians, including the use of precise munitions and aerial surveillance.” Read More…

Israel confirms arrest of 20 Palestinians in occupied West Bank

The Israeli military has confirmed that its forces arrested 20 Palestinians overnight across the occupied West Bank. The military’s statement, published on Telegram, claimed some of those detained were involved in the purchase and possession of weapons, and planned to harm Israeli troops and civilians. The statement also claimed that seven people were “involved in the production of explosives and weapons trafficking”. Gaza rescue workers ground vehicles amid lack of fuel

A statement on Telegram by the civil defence agency says body recovery operations in the war-battered enclave have been suspended as rescue vehicles ran out of petrol. Hazard removal operations around the vast piles of destroyed infrastructure have also been stopped because of a lack of fuel needed to power heavy equipment, it said. Crews are unable to respond to weather-related distress calls. The agency called on the international community for immediate action to provide crucial fuel supplies needed for humanitarian services throughout the devastated Gaza Strip. Read More…

Israeli army says it hits Hezbollah targets

In a statement on Telegram, the military says it has targeted Hezbollah infrastructure with rocket launchers and other weapons in the Baalbek area in eastern Lebanon and several other regions in the south of the country. The attacks were conducted after the army identified Hezbollah activity at the sites, it said. The attacks, some of which we reported earlier, come as a public funeral is being held for former Hezbollah leader Nasrallah, who was killed in Israeli air strikes on Beirut on September 27. Gaza death toll rises

The Gaza Health Ministry has just released its latest report on the number of people who were killed and wounded by Israel’s war on the territory. In a statement on Telegram, it said a total of seven deaths and five injuries were recorded at the hospitals of the enclave in the past 24 hours. This brought the confirmed number of people killed in Israeli attacks since October 7, 2023 to at least 48,271, with 111,693 others wounded, the ministry added. Read More…
