European Film Festival Expands Its Pakistan Tour

The European Film Festival (EUFF) is returning to Pakistan this month for its fifth edition, with screenings planned in Islamabad, Sialkot and Jamshoro. The Pakistan Super League (PSL) expanded to eight teams on Thursday as Hyderabad and Sialkot were officially confirmed as the league’s seventh and eighth franchises, respectively, following the completion of the expansion auction ahead of the upcoming season. Punjab rivers in extreme flooding, Sialkot rainfall surpasses record

Sialkot recorded 364mm rainfall in last 24 hours, surpassing the previous 299.2mm record of maximum rain set on July 31, 1961. Rainfall at Sialkot airport recorded 198mm according to the weather department. Chenab River has been flowing in extremely high flood at Marala Headworks, the flood control room shared. The water’s inflow at Marala has been recorded as high as 6,71,148 cusecs and outflow of the river has been 6,64,618 cusecs, barrage sources said. Read More…

Flight operations have resumed at Lahore, Islamabad, and Sialkot airports, according to the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA). However, Karachi Airport remains closed for flight operations due to the ongoing tensions between Pakistan and India. Sialkot International Airport closed for 16 days

Sialkot: The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has confirmed that the Sialkot International Airport will remain closed for sixteen days in December over maintenance. According to the Civil Aviation announcement, the airport will remain closed from December 5 to December 20 due to runway maintenance. Govt. plans Parliamentary Debate on Sialkot lynching

The government has called a special session of the Senate and the National Assembly to discuss the horrific lynching of Sri Lankan national Priyantha Kumara in Sialkot earlier this month.
