Police must produce Sheikh Rashid in seven days: LHC

The Lahore High Court's Rawalpindi bench directed police to produce former interior minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed in a week. Justice Sadaqat Ali Khan of the LHC heard the petition filed against the imprisonment of Ahmed. Rawalpindi Regional Police Officer Syed Khurram Ali appeared before the court. Sheikh Rasheed seeks exemption in Zardari remarks case

Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rashid on Thursday filed a plea before the Islamabad court seeking his exemption from personal appearance in a case pertaining to making defamatory remarks against the former president Asif Zardari. Islamabad court rejects Sheikh Rashid's post-arrest bail plea

Islamabad: A court in Islamabad on Tuesday dismissed Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rashid Ahmed's post-arrest bail plea. A case was registered against him for leveling murder plot allegations against Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Co-chairperson Asif Ali Zardari. "Khan to give call for Islamabad once floods recede": Sheikh Rashid

Former interior minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said on Sunday that PTI chief Imran Khan would “give the call for Islamabad” once the floods recede. Islamabad: On Monday, a district and sessions court in Attock granted the police a two-day physical remand of MNA Sheikh Rashid Shafiq, nephew of former federal minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed. Shafiq was arrested in a case relating to hooliganism and chanting slogans against Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and his delegation at Masjid-e-Nabwi in Saudi Arabia. Sheikh Rashid backtracks his remarks about PML-Q

On Sunday, Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid backtracked from his accusation made against the PML-Q a day earlier. He said that his remarks were "general" and not directed towards any particular party. Rashid accused the PML-Q of "blackmailing" the government for Punjab's chief minister position and was hit back by Moonis Elahi.
