PTI founder, Qureshi, others acquitted in two cases

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder, AML chief, Sheikh Rasheed, Shah Mahmood Qureshi and others have been acquitted in two cases registered against them at Bhara Kahu police station. The reserved verdict was announced by Judicial Magistrate Suhaib Bilal. According to verdict, PTI founder Imran Khan, Sheikh Rasheed, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Saifullah Niazi, Aamir Mahmood Kiani, Pervaiz Khattak, Asad Umar, Ali Nawaz Awan, Raja Khurram Nawaz, Faisal Javed and Shireen Mazari have been acquitted in the Bhara Kahu police station case. Sheikh Rasheed seeks exemption in Zardari remarks case

Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rashid on Thursday filed a plea before the Islamabad court seeking his exemption from personal appearance in a case pertaining to making defamatory remarks against the former president Asif Zardari. Leaked audio reveals Sharaqpuri was ‘paid’

It emerged on Sunday, former interior minister Sheikh Rasheed, in an audio message, could be heard asking a person whether he made a "payment" to persuade PML-N leader Jalil Sharaqpuri to resign from his seat. Islamabad: On Monday, a district and sessions court in Attock granted the police a two-day physical remand of MNA Sheikh Rashid Shafiq, nephew of former federal minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed. Shafiq was arrested in a case relating to hooliganism and chanting slogans against Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and his delegation at Masjid-e-Nabwi in Saudi Arabia.
