Pakistan name squad for New Zealand T20I series

Pakistan Cricket Board on Tuesday announced Shaheen Shah Afridi-led squad for the T20I bilateral series against New Zealand in early January. Shaheen Shah's absence a ‘big loss’ for Pakistan: England coach

England head coach Brendon McCullum said on Monday that the absence through injury of fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi was a “big loss” to Pakistan in the three-match Test series. McCullum said that Shaheen had made huge progress since he played with and then coached the fast bowler during the first two editions of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) in 2016 and 2017. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Monday announced that pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi had departed for London where he would complete his rehabilitation. PCB Chief Medical Officer Dr. Najeebullah Soomro said: "Shaheen requires uninterrupted, dedicated knee specialist care and London offers some of the best sports medical and rehabilitation facilities in the world. Galle: Pakistani cricket sensation Shaheen Shah Afridi would not participate in the second Test of the ongoing Test series against Sri Lanka due to a knee injury. Pakistani cricketer Shaheen Afridi injured

Lahore: Pakistani pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi got injured while batting during the practice session on Monday. According to the sources, Afridi was hit on his knee while he was batting in the nets. He was compelled to leave the nets and doctors were called for his treatment. After initial treatment, Afridi resumed his training.
