Massive drop-off in flights leaves Israelis and their companies isolated

Direct routes from Israel to major cities – Washington, San Francisco, Toronto, Hong Kong and New Delhi – have been suspended for months and some indefinitely, reducing face-to-face business meetings as well as cargo reliant on passenger flights. San Francisco police arrest 70 protesters at Israeli consulate

San Francisco police arrested 70 pro-Palestinian demonstrators on trespassing charges after they entered the lobby of the building housing the Israeli consulate and refused to leave. The protesters were led out of the building, with their hands bound by zip ties, a witness stated. No injuries were reported. The protesters, who were voicing opposition to Israel's war in Gaza, had planned to stay until forcibly removed, the San Francisco Chronicle reported from the scene. Read More…

President Xi to meet Biden, attend APEC Economic Leaders Meeting

The invitation of U.S. President Joe Biden, Chinese President Xi Jinping will visit San Francisco from November 14 to 17 to hold a bilateral meeting with Biden and attend the APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting, the Chinese Foreign Ministry said. Twitter sued after Musk fails to pay rent

In more legal trouble for Twitter owner Elon Musk, the company was sued for failing to pay the rent for its office space in San Francisco, reported Bloomberg. According to the land owner, the social media giant was notified on December 16, 2022, that it would be in default on its lease for the 30th floor of the Hartford Building in five days unless the rent was paid.
