UK sends destroyer to Middle East for potential Hormuz shipping mission

UK bans Israelis from prestigious military academy over Gaza genocide

The UK will no longer admit Israelis to one of its most prestigious defence academies, the Royal College of Defence Studies, citing Israel's carnage in Gaza, The Telegraph reported. The Ministry of Defence confirmed that from next year, Israel will be excluded from the college, which has trained senior officers and officials from around the world since 1927. The decision marked the first time Israelis have been barred from the institution, founded under Winston Churchill's vision of fostering international understanding among military and civilian leaders, according to the report. UKMTO reports 'incident' off Yemeni coast

The UK's Maritime Trade Organisation, run by the Royal Navy, has reported a possible ship attack off the coast of Yemen. The UKMTO said it had received reports of an "incident" 82 nautical miles south of Aden. Authorities were investigating and ships in the region were advised to proceed with caution, it added. UK warship shoots down Houthi missile

A British Royal Navy warship shot down a missile launched by the Iranian-backed Houthi group aimed at a merchant vessel in the Gulf of Aden, the UK said. HMS Diamond, stationed in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden, shot down the missile on Wednesday using its Sea Viper anti-air missile system. The Ministry of Defence said that the UK has also intercepted weapons being smuggled into Yemen, carried out strikes against Houthi military targets, and imposed sanctions on the group's members. King Abdullah speaks with French President

Jordan’s King Abdullah warned of the danger of a major Israeli attack on Rafah, during a phone call from French President Emmanuel Macron, a Royal Palace statement said. Jordan's king meets Kuwait's emir

Jordan's King Abdullah II on Tuesday called for more efforts to reach a ceasefire in Gaza during talks with Kuwait’s Emir Sheikh Meshal in Amman, the Jordanian Royal Palace said. Sheikh Meshal arrived in Amman earlier in the day on an official visit, his first to Jordan since he became ruler at the end of 2023.
