Civilian casualties at Al-Makha restaurant targeted by Houthis: State media

Several civilian casualties have been reported after Houthis allegedly targeted a restaurant in the Red Sea port of Al-Makha, according to Yemeni government media. The official state news agency Saba did not specify how many casualties. Neither the Houthis nor the government has publicly commented on the alleged attack. Yemen's Hodeidah port open to ships after Israeli strike

Commercial traffic returned to the Yemeni Red Sea port of Hodeidah on Tuesday, three days after an Israeli strike caused severe damage and as smoke continued to rise from damaged tankers. A ship carrying 514 containers and another with about 20,000 tonnes of iron docked on Tuesday evening, Mohammed Al Sayes, the director of maritime operations at the Houthi-run port, said. Hodeidah port in Yemen at work despite Israeli bomb damage

The Yemeni Red Sea port of Hodeidah was functioning at limited capacity on Tuesday despite heavy damage by an Israeli air strike, local authorities said. Israeli warplanes bombed a fuel depot at the Houthi-controlled port on Saturday, killing nine people and injuring 83 in response to a drone attack on Tel Aviv that killed one and wounded several others a day earlier. UAE to build Red Sea port in Sudan

Cairo: On June 21, it emerged that the United Arab Emirates would build a new Red Sea port in Sudan as part of a $6 billion investment package. DAL group chairman Osama Daoud Abdellatif said that the package includes a free trade zone, a large agricultural project, and an imminent $300 million deposit to Sudan's central bank, which would be the first such deposit since the military takeover.
