DPO Abbottabad reveals Rs3m paid for abduction, killing of Dr Warda

ABBOTTABAD: District Police Officer (DPO) Abbottabad Haroon Rasheed has asked the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to probe the money trail in the murder of Dr Warda Mushtaq, saying the suspect allegedly paid Rs3 million for her abduction and killing, raising suspicion of possible money-laundering. He has sought financial records of the suspects Rida Jadoon, Abdul Waheed, the husband of prime suspect Jadoon, and Nadeem, including complete details of any unusual or suspicious transactions, information on any prior money-laundering inquiries against them, and their travel history, restrictions and watch-list status. PTI founder, Qureshi, others acquitted in two cases

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder, AML chief, Sheikh Rasheed, Shah Mahmood Qureshi and others have been acquitted in two cases registered against them at Bhara Kahu police station. The reserved verdict was announced by Judicial Magistrate Suhaib Bilal. Sheikh Rasheed seeks exemption in Zardari remarks case

Hyderabad court sends former DC Matiari to jail

On Thursday, a Hyderabad anti-corruption court remanded former Matiari deputy commissioner Adnan Rasheed to judicial custody till December 7. The decision is related to an investigation into a scam concerning land acquisition for the M6 (Hyderabad-Sukkur) motorway. Rasheed was arrested by Hyderabad’s Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) on November 17.
