Netanyahu says Israel struck railways, bridges in Iran 

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday said Israel struck railways and bridges in Iran "used by the Revolutionary Guards", after Iranian officials reported damage to at least two bridges and railway infrastructure. "Yesterday, our pilots destroyed transport aircraft and dozens of helicopters at an Iranian Air Force base. Egypt sets up trains for Sudanese refugees to return home

Egypt’s railways launched a special train service for people from Sudan to return home, despite the conflict in their country. Train 1940 left Cairo on Monday morning, heading to Aswan, where passengers will continue their journey on to Sudan via the Aswan High Dam Port. Television coverage of the first trip showed hundreds of Sudanese lining up to board the train, carrying their belongings. Pakistan Railways to operate four special trains on Eidul Fitr

Railways Minister Hanif Abbasi on Monday announced that Pakistan Railways will operate four special trains to facilitate passengers during Eidul Fitr. He was addressing media in Islamabad outside the Parliament House. Hanif Abbasi stated that Pakistan Railways will offer a 20per cent special discount to passengers traveling on Eidul Fitr. Pakistan, UAE sign five accords of cooperation in banking, mining

Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates on Thursday signed five accords to boost bilateral cooperation in different fields including banking, railways, mining and infrastructural investment. The documents were signed during the first official visit of Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to Pakistan, at the invitation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. The crown prince and the prime minister witnessed the ceremony as the officials from both sides exchanged the pre-signed documents of agreements and Memorandums of Understanding for cooperation in various fields. Pakistan Railways set to launch new summer vacation trains

Pakistan Railways is all set to launch a ‘Summer Vacation Special Train’ to facilitate and accommodate the passengers. According to Ministry of Railways, the train will run from Karachi to Rawalpindi from July 5 to July 30. “All the preparation to launch the train is already completed on the direction of Secretary Railways Syed Mazhar Ali Shah,” an official said. Eidul Fitr 2024: Pakistan Railways to ‘slash’ train fares

Pakistan Railways Chief Executive Officer Amir Baloch on Thursday said that the department will consider reducing fares for Eidul Fitr 2024 special trains to facilitate passengers return home. In this regard, the Pakistan Railways announced four special trains, out of which two will depart from Karachi ahead of Eidul Fitr 2024. Railways police return lost jewellery bag to owner

The Pakistan Railways police returned a lost bag full of jewellery and other valuables to its owner in Karachi. As per details, an abandoned bag containing jewellery and a ladies’ purse was found at Karachi Cantt Station. The bag was safely deposited in the Railway Police Karachi Division. Pakistan Railways all set to go solar

Pakistan Railways is all set to switch its entire stations’ power network including major railway stations, offices, workshops, and factories to solar systems in different phases which would help to save billions of rupees for the department. “The step is expected to save Rs. 1.8 billion in the first phase to the department, later on, more stations, offices, and other facilities will be added in the subsequent phases,” an official in the Ministry of Railways told state-run news agency. Pakistan Railways on Wednesday launched Railway Automated Booking and Travel Assistance (RABTA) app for providing online services to passengers. According to details, Caretaker Minister for Railways Shahid Ashraf Tarar officially launched the operationalisation of the RABTA App in Lahore.
