Bhagwat Appearance Draws Protesters in New York

WASHINGTON: A large demonstration was held outside Madison Square Garden as RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat attended a “Universal Oneness” event. Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, Dalit and civil-rights groups criticised his appearance, accusing the RSS of promoting majoritarian politics and discrimination against minorities. Organisers described the gathering as a celebration of Hindu culture and “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam”, or the world as one family. Stockholm: On April 28, Prime Minister Magdalena Andersson told that Sweden's government does not plan to hold a referendum if its parliament decides to proceed with an application for NATO membership.
