LHC clears Pervaiz Elahi, family from no-fly list

Former Punjab chief minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi’s name was removed from the Passport Control List (PCL) on orders of the Lahore High Court (LHC). Justice Shams Mahmood Mirza of LHC heard the contempt petitions of Parvez Elahi and others. The court ordered the removal of Parvez Elahi’s name from the PCL and others from the Exit Control List (ECL). The names of Rasikh Elahi and Zara Elahi have also been removed from the ECL. Parvez Elahi complains of food poisoning in jail

Incarcerated Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) president Chaudhry Parvez Elahi on Friday complained of food poisoning due to ‘sub-standard’ food while being in custody. In June, the Lahore High Court (LHC) directed the jail authorities to provide facilities to the former chief minister of Punjab Parvez Elahi as per law. In his informal media talk upon his arrival at the Judicial Complex in Islamabad, Parvez Elahi said he was suffering from food poisoning due to ‘sub-standard’ meal provided to him in jail. Parvez Elahi sent to prison on 14-day judicial remand

Lahore: An anti-corruption court in Lahore on Sunday rejected the Punjab Anti-Corruption Establishment’s (ACE) plea seeking physical remand of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) President Chaudhry Parvez Elahi. Pervez Elahi appointed President PTI

Lahore: Former chief minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi had been made the president of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. The notification in this regard had been issued. Fawad Chaudhry, PTI’s central leader met the former chief minister and presented the notification on behalf of PTI’s chief. Mr. Elahi said he was grateful to the PTI’s chairman. Elahi welcomes SC's notice of delay in elections

Lahore: Former Punjab chief minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi said on Thursday that the masses were looking up to the judiciary amid the ongoing situation. Parvez Elahi joins PTI

Lahore: Former Punjab chief minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) leader Chaudhry Parvez Elahi joined Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) along with his 10 aides. The announcement was made after PML-Q President Chaudhry Shujaat sacked him as the party's Punjab president and revoked his basic membership. Parvez Elahi fires a broadside at PM Sharif

Lahore: Former Punjab CM Chaudhry Parvez Elahi launched a broadside at Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, saying the latter was turning out to be inept for the country. Slamming the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Elahi said, "The PML-N is not daring enough to compete with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan."
