Punjab elections: PML-Q issues party tickets to candidates

Pakistan Muslim League Quaid (PML-Q) has issued party tickets to the candidates ahead of the Punjab elections scheduled for May 14. The PML-Q leadership ordered its candidates to start electioneering in their respective constituencies after issuing party tickets. Parvez Elahi joins PTI

Lahore: Former Punjab chief minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) leader Chaudhry Parvez Elahi joined Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) along with his 10 aides. The announcement was made after PML-Q President Chaudhry Shujaat sacked him as the party's Punjab president and revoked his basic membership. PML-Q 'suspends' CM Elahi's basic membership

The Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) on Monday suspended the basic party membership of Punjab Chief Minister Parvez Elahi for talking about the possibility of his party's possible merger with the Imran Khan-led Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). PTI, PML-Q allied against no-confidence vote: PTI

PTI Vice President Fawad Chaudhry said on Tuesday that his party and the PML-Q had decided to remain allies, and face the matters of the vote of confidence and no-trust resolution against Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi together.
