Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan met Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam in New York on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly. The two discussed bilateral relations and ways to strengthen co-operation in various fields, as well as the latest regional developments, according to a readout from the Saudi Foreign Ministry. Any attack on Makkah or Madinah is a ‘red line’, says Pakistan’s PM Sharif

Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has told the UN General Assembly that any attack on the holy cities of Makkah or Madinah would be a “red line”. Saudi Arabia’s air defences destroyed a Houthi drone south of Makkah before it entered prohibited airspace over the holy city last week. CDA Moves to Upgrade Jinnah Convention Centre

Lebanon's PM warns of looming peacekeeping 'vacuum'

Lebanon’s Prime Minister Nawaf Salam called on the UN to “avert the vacuum” that could be left by the departure of peacekeeping troops. Russian and Iranian foreign ministers discuss regional issues

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov discussed regional developments on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly. "Current regional and international issues were discussed with an emphasis on the situation around Iran," ⁠Russia's Foreign Ministry said in a statement after the meeting.
